Our heart is heavy with the passing of Engr. Eddie Hechanova, Honorary KALIPAY Board Member, and chief builder of our Recovered Treasures home, and our school, the Kalipay Learning Center. For many years, he has been our go-to person for repairs and maintenance work for our shelters. He was a key player in building our homes, so to speak.
We will miss his soft-spoken self and quiet ways, and hope that the KALIPAY children can emulate his humility and generosity. He will always be remembered with fondness, respect, and an enormous sense of gratefulness for his help to the disadvantaged children of KALIPAY.
