The story of our Founder and President, Ms. Anna Balcells and Kalipay Negrense Foundation is blessed to be featured in this wonderful book on Negros.
To quote Ms. Anna in her broadcasted speech last Nov. 30, 2021, at the book launch in Ayala Capitol:
“The book, Sugar and Smiles, is all about the Negrense Legacy- events and milestones that have shaped our beautiful province. But it is also my hope that through this book, we are reminded that the key to our future is in our smallest citizens- the children. As future Negrenses, they will carve out their own paths, ensuring that our legacy lives on. May we consider it our duty to look after the disadvantaged children of our province, the ones most likely to be left behind, for there is always hope that a wellspring of greatness can come out of the unlikeliest of places.”
A portion of the sales of the book Sugar and Smiles will be donated to Kalipay Negrense Foundation.
