Kids Experience the Magic of Philippine Theater Through ‘Rama, Hari’

We value education as an integral part of the overall formation of our children’s well-being, and what is a better way to learn than to actually see and witness the material, itself?

Last Saturday, the KALIPAY kids were given the opportunity to witness the excellence of Philippine Theater through the RAMA, HARI play staged in the University of St. La Salle Coliseum. It featured FIVE National Artists namely: Ryan Cayabyab, Alice Reyes, Rolando Tinio, Bienvenido Lumbera, and Salvador Bernal.

Rama Hari is based on a Sanskrit epic Ramayana narrating the tale of Prince Rama and his journey to the throne. The whole show captivated the children’s love for arts and enthusiasm for learning. They have read the whole story ahead of this experience and it brought their imaginations to life. It was an academic exposure for the kids in their English Communication and Music and Arts subjects.

We are immensely grateful to Br. Kenneth Martinez FSC and the University of St. La Salle for inviting KALIPAY to experience this highly acclaimed masterpiece. We also extend our congratulations to the whole cast and crew of “RAMA, HARI” for the powerful storytelling and high-caliber display of Filipino creativity and rich culture
