Holy Week, for the Kalipay children, began with crafting makeshift crosses out of palm leaves for Palm Sunday. They are looking forward to a series of activities such as Worship Night on Holy Wednesday, a recreation of the Last Supper and the Washing of the Feet on Holy Thursday, their own version of Via Crucis procession on Good Friday, Easter Vigil on Black Saturday, and of course, the traditional Easter Egg Hunt come Easter Sunday.
With the guidance of the Home Parents, and our Spiritual Life Coordinator, Ms. Claudine Sebomit, the children will experience the traditions of Holy Week, as well learn of their corresponding significance.
KALIPAY hopes that we all have a meaningful Holy Week. May it be a time for us to rest, reflect and pray. May we emerge refreshed not only in mind and body, but in Spirit as well.
