Kalipay Negrense Foundation’s Executive Director, Mhel Enderes Sillador has been elected as
the Regional Chairperson for Western Visayas for ABSNET. Together with other elected officers,
he will serve the position for a three year term.
ABSNET as acronym refers to Area Based Standard Network- a group of partners of Non
Government Institutions and People’s Organization and Local Government Units that are
requiring license and accredited by the DSWD. In Western Visayas there are more than 100
NGOs and People’s organization working for the causes of disadvantaged populations.
They conduct assessment and recommends to the DSWD NGO’s and PO’s applying for
registration and licensing.
ABSNET as a whole are partners in the promotion of the welfarLaste of Filipinos by promoting
public accountability, transparency, professionalism and integrity in the delivery of social
service.
