PANAAD: A PROMISE FULFILLED

On April 18, 2018, the Province of Negros Occidental and Kalipay Negrense Foundation presented an original Negrosanon musical PANAAD: THE PROMISE FULFILLED at SMX Bacolod Convention Center. There were two shows, a Matinee at 2pm and a Gala at 7pm. The musical showcased the products and culture of Negros. It was also a celebration of the rich history of the province from the 70’s and to the 90’s, brought to life by seasoned Ilonggo artists Joel Torre, Kuh Ledesma, Ronnie Lazaro, Emcy Corteza, Audie Gemora, Vanya Castor, and Carlos Sison. It was directed by Negros-born Chris Millado, Vice President and Artistic Director of the Cultural Center of the Philippines. The audience gathered very early at SMX grounds eager to get a good seat at the show. And
during the entire performance they watched in awe. They marveled at the brilliant performances of the artists. From the acting to the singing, to the script, the stage design, and technical works, it was undeniably spectacular and impressive. And for sure, the musical tugged on everyone’s heart as they went down memory lane.
