Kalipay Staff Training

The pandemic has rendered (almost) everything virtual. The quarantines may have shut everybody indoors and isolated us from our friends and peers, but the learning and the quest for improvement has never stopped for the Kalipay. Like most students who have online classes, Kalipay teachers, social workers, our psych associate and administrative staff have been hard at work attending webinars, online lectures and workshops.

The social workers have notably attended Hilom by World Hope International: Therapeutic Interventions for Survivors of Sexual Exploitation last February 16 to 18 and the DSWD Technical Sharing Session on Alternative Family Care last March 24 to 26, 2021.

The Teachers of Kalipay Learning Center have attended Effective Strategies in Teaching Children in Child-caring Agencies During the Pandemic last March 17 hosted by Concordia Children’s Services, Inc. and an online Thesis Writing Lecture hosted by our partner UST Angelicum last Friday, April 16, 2021.

While the Admin Staff, Teachers, Home Managers and Home Parents all attended (Association of Child Caring Agencies of the Philippines) ACCAP’s Mindfulness: The Road to Self-care Webinar last March 25, 2021.

They attend these online workshops to improve themselves, both on a personal and professional level. They recognize the importance of continually learning, creating and applying best practices with one thing in mind- being the best versions of themselves to better help the Kalipay children.
