Active Play at Kalipay

On top of academics, the Kalipay Learning Center aims to engage the children in active play to develop their gross motor skills, especially for the smaller children. This will help them exercise their muscles, increase their range of mobility and, develop a heightened sense of awareness of their body’s capabilities- not to mention it is so much fun! Hands and Feet Hopscotch is always a favorite of the children.

Fine motor skills are also honed through activities that exercise the muscles in their hands, for dexterity and precision. The children particularly enjoy the Standing Pencil Challenge and Coin Stack Game. It is adorable to see their little faces so focused on the task!

*The school, Kalipay Learning Center, is located inside the Recovered Treasures compound; the teachers are also living within the grounds- allowing the children to attend classes face to face. Visitors are not allowed to enter the Home for health and safety reasons.
